My review
Little Bone Lodge is a tense and creepy thriller with a great isolated setting. I liked the atmosphere and the twists, but overall the film felt a little uneven. The ending was the highlight for me and gave the movie a stronger finish.
Little Bone Lodge: In Cold Blood
Criminals turning up at an isolated farmhouse is the stuff of nightmares, and America's most famous true crime story began exactly that way. On 15 November 1959, two ex-convicts, Richard Hickock and Perry Smith, drove to the Clutter family's farm near Holcomb, Kansas, convinced that a safe full of cash was hidden there. There was no safe. They killed all four members of the family at home and left with about 50 dollars. Both were caught and executed in 1965. Truman Capote spent years on the case, and his book In Cold Blood changed true crime writing forever.
