Good Boy (2025)

Good Boy: the troubled teen industry

A family that kidnaps a teenager to "fix" him sounds absurd, but in the United States it became a real business. For decades, parents have paid "transport" companies to wake their teenagers in the middle of the night and take them, often by force, to wilderness camps and strict boarding schools promising to reform them. Many former students describe isolation, humiliation and abuse. The issue reached a wide audience when Paris Hilton spoke publicly about her time at Provo Canyon School in Utah and testified before Utah lawmakers in 2021, which helped pass a new law to regulate these schools.
